Producer Brian Grazer and Imagine Entertainment partner and co-founder Ron Howard have seen three different owners come and go as they have prospered at U over the years. But when Ron Meyer took over as head of the studio, Grazer was particularly pleased.
“He was my agent when he was at (Creative Artists Agency),” Grazer notes. “I have 100% trust when it comes to our relationship with him.”
And when Snider was upped to chairman of Universal Pictures, the Imagine duo was just as happy.
“She always sees the bigger picture when it comes to balancing the creative needs of the project with the realities of budget,” Grazer continues. “Both she and Ron are never penny wise and pound foolish.”
Not the sort of thing most producers say about their studio overseers. But, the vet producer continues: “These guys have a unique and modern way of making and marketing movies. They have the sort of great instincts that you can only acquire with lots of experience and lots of intelligence.”
