NEW YORK — “The Producers” was the big winner by a large margin at the Drama Desk Awards Sunday night.

The Mel Brooks tuner took 11 awards, beginning with best musical. Brooks and Thomas Meehan won the book award, Brooks got a nod for his lyrics, and the show also won for orchestrations, set design (musical) and costumes. (Brooks’ music for the show was not nominated; David Yazbek won for “The Full Monty.”)
