Gotham set to get ‘Puppetry’ glance

Friend, Morley show previews Sept. 25

“Puppetry of the Penis,” in which Australian performers David Friend and Simon Morley perform a kind of “genital origami,” will open in Gotham this fall following a popular London engagement and other stands in Melbourne, Edinburgh, Toronto and Montreal.

Show, housed at Off Broadway’s John Houseman Theater, begins previews Sept. 25 for an Oct. 5 opening. The engagement is open-ended.

Billed as a “nonsexual adult show,” “Puppetry of the Penis” uses video screens to, ah, enlarge the duo’s genital manipulations, which include “The Windsurfer,” “The Eiffel Tower,” “The Loch Ness Monster” and “The Hamburger.”
