HOLLYWOOD — Amy Vincent will receive the Kodak Vision Award for cinematography at the Women in Film Silver Anniversary Crystal Awards.
The honor will be presented June 8 at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. Previous recipients include Nancy Schreiber, Sandi Sissel, Ellen Kuras, Roxanne DiSanto and Lisa Rinzler.
“Amy Vincent is a talented filmmaker who is succeeding in a very competitive sector of our industry,” said WIF president Hollace Davids. “She is building an excellent body of work and is a source of hope and inspiration for women who aspire to become cinematographers.”
Vincent’s credits include “Eve’s Bayou,” “The Caveman’s Valentine,” “Walking Across Egypt,” “Death in Venice, CA” and “Way Past Cool.”
She teaches part-time at the Los Angeles Film School and works with the Independent Feature Project/West on Project: Involve, a program for young minority filmmakers.
