HOLLYWOOD — Pacifica Film Development has promoted Linda Benjamin and Chris Dubrow to the posts of co-president. The IMF-backed company is a wholly owned subsid of Internationalmedia and Intermedia. The new co-prexies will report to Internationalmedia co-chairs Moritz Borman, Nigel Sinclair and Guy East.
While the promotion will expand their duties, Benjamin will continue to oversee business affairs and operations, while Dubrow will handle production and development.
Formerly a director of development at Lakeshore Entertainment, Dubrow joined Pacifica as VP of development in 1997. Prior to that he held publicity posts at MGM and in development at UA.
Benjamin co-founded the law firm Garvin & Benjamin and initially served as outside counsel to Pacifica before becoming senior VP business affairs in January 2000.
Pacifica releases include “The Wedding Planner” and “Nurse Betty.” Intermedia and Pacifica recently wrapped “K-Pax” starring Kevin Spacey and has “K-19: The Widowmaker” and “The Quiet American” in production.
