In response to popular demand, Levi’s Toronto Intl. Teen Movie Festival has extended its submissions deadline to Sept. 14, giving teen filmmakers more time to complete their projects.
The fest’s mission is to give teens the opportunity to display their work in an international setting. With categories ranging from the more traditional features and shorts to public service announcements and Web sites, submissions may be produced in any format, including Beta, 8mm, digital or even camcorder.
Produced by Hiltz Media Group and featuring an honorary board including Gabrielle Union of “Bring It On” and Robin Dunne of “Dawson’s Creek,” fest will run Oct. 27-Nov. 4, with screenings to be held at AMC theaters in Toronto. Entries, divided into two age groups — 13- to 19-years-old and 13-years-old and under, will be judged by a panel of teenagers, fest organizers and sponsors.
An entry form and full list of submission rules may be obtained at http://www.hiltz2.com or by calling the festival hotline at (905) 881-3892.
