Writer-director Michael Tolkin has signed with Endeavor for representation in all areas. He previously was repped by Creative Artists Agency.
Tolkin is best known for Hollywood-themed suspenser “The Player.” He adapted his novel of the same name and received an Oscar nomination for his screenplay about an amoral studio suit who gets away with murder.
In a statement, Endeavor’s partners called Tolkin “a very gifted filmmaker” and added, “we are privileged to have him on board.”
Tolkin most recently co-wrote Paramount’s upcoming Roger Michell-helmed “Changing Lanes” starring Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Affleck. His other credits include helming and directing duties on 1991’s “The Rapture,” co-penning 1998’s “Deep Impact,” “The New Age,” which he wrote and directed.
Little is known about his next novel, “Under Radar,” which is due out next year.
