Arlene Sanford (“A Very Brady Sequel”) is negotiating to direct the Walt Disney Co.’s “Frank McKluskey, C.I.,” the comedy penned by Mouse House uber scribe Mark Perez.
Pic, which begins lensing April 16 with Dave Sheridan starring, Robert Simonds producing and Tracey Trench exec producing, features Sheridan playing an overzealous insurance fraud investigator. Project is being overseen by Buena Vista Motion Picture Group exec veep Mark Vahradian and veep Jeffrey Clifford.
“We’re delighted to be back in business with Arlene,” said Nina Jacobson, president of the Buena Vista Motion Picture Group. “She’s smart and she’s funny and she loves Frank McKluskey, just like we do.”
Sanford is a vet television director with credits that include episodes of “Ally McBeal.” She directed the pilot episode of ABC’s “Where I Live,” and on the feature side helmed Disney’s “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.”
