MADRID — Veteran sales agent Silvia Lovosevic has set up her own production shingle, Agram Producciones, partnered by her daughter, film-maker Catalina Ribalta, and director Manuel Esteban.
Based in Barcelona, Agram will produce one docu series and one feature film a year, Lovosevic told Daily Variety. Not all its features will be directed by Esteban, she added.
First project is a 13-part docu series on cinematheques in Spain.
Agram looks to draw financing from sales and TV contracts.
Given Lovosevic’s international profile, Agram may develop a secondary business line in executive producing, sourcing Spanish finance for international projects, as well as the provision of production services in Spain on international shoots.
Lovosevic worked in international and domestic sales exec positions at Andres Vicente Gomez’s Iberoamericana Films, Cinepaq and Sogepaq.
Esteban directed “Los Mares del Sur” and B.O. hit “Historias de la Puta Mili.”
Ribalta was a script analyst at the European Media Development Agency (EMDA) and, apart from pic production work, directed the 35mm short “You Get the Tail, I Get the Rest.”
