Helen Rosenberg is joining USA Films as the company’s chief financial officer.
Rosenberg will be based at USA Films’ West Coast offices and begins her new position this summer.
The exec comes to the company after nearly 17 months as CFO of USA Broadcasting.
“In searching for a qualified CFO, we heard many votes of confidence for Helen Rosenberg,” said USA Films chairman Scott Greenstein. “Our sibling company, USA Broadcasting, has generously allowed us to bring Helen back to working in the business end of the film industry. We look forward to making the most of her considerable expertise.”
Added USA Films prexy Russell Schwartz: “Helen Rosenberg has a wealth of experience within USA and also in motion picture finance. Everyone here is gratified that she will be joining the USA Films team.”
Rosenberg, who is currently on maternity leave, said: “This is an exciting time for me, both personally and professionally. USA Films is probably the only film company that could have spurred me to return to working in the film business, because of their independent spirit and creativity. I look forward to spending time with my new family at home, and then with my new family at work.”
Rosenberg was appointed CFO of USA Broadcasting in December 1999, following a stint at the company as veep and controller. Prior to joining USA Broadcasting, she was assistant controller for Savoy Pictures, a film production and distribution company that was acquired by USA in 1996.
She began her career at Ernst & Young as an auditor. After three years with the company, she joined Warner Bros., where she ultimately became director of financial reporting.
