Mitchell Goldman’s Los Angeles-based Premiere Marketing & Distribu-tion Group is in final negotiations to distribute the David Cunningham-helmed “To End All Wars,” a WWII drama starring Robert Carlyle and Kiefer Sutherland.
Pic screened at the Cannes Film Festival. London-based Goldcrest Films recently acquired international rights to the film.
Penned by Brian Godawa, based on Ernest Gordon’s bestselling book, “To End All Wars” recounts Gordon’s life as a POW in a Japanese jungle prison camp, where he and fellow prisoners were forced to build the Burma-Thai Railway. Imprisoned for 3-1/2 years, he formed a secret college of liberal arts in the camp morgue as a means of survival.
Jack Hafer and Cunningham produced the pic.
North American pact with the Premiere Marketing & Distribution Group was structured by film financiers Dan Fantz, Scott Willmann and James Castle of Studio Entertainment Group. Talent Entertainment Group repped Cunningham.
