Indie filmmaking blossomed at the third Buenos Aires Festival of Independent Cinema, held April 19-29 with an ambitious program of more than 200 feature films.

Under new director Edouardo Antin and strong support from the city cultural assessor Ricardo Manetti, the fest confirmed itself as the Argentine alternative to the more glamorous Mar del Plata and a friendly harbor for world indies.
