India to promote fare in U.S. visit

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sushma Swaraj will lead a film and TV delegation to the U.S. June 13-20 to promote homegrown fare. Delegation will meet execs from Columbia TriStar, Universal and Disney, among others, in Los Angeles and New York.

India’s film industry will be repped by directors and producers including Yash Chopra and Subhash Ghai. TV mavens include Reliance Entertainment CEO Amit Khanna, Sony Entertainment CEO Kunal Dasgupta, pubcaster Doordarshan CEO Anil Baijal and exec director of the Indian Broadcasting Foundation Bhuvan Lall.
