Nicholas Gregory will make his helming debut with the low-budget digital feature “Love Thy Neighbor,” to be exec produced by Marshall Persinger (Showtime’s “Wild Iris”).
Pic stars Jennifer Bransford (“Made”), John Enos (“Melrose Place”), Jack Gwaltney (“G.I. Jane”) and Kellie Overbey (“Sweet and Lowdown”). Roy Scheider, Wallace Shawn, Scott Wolf, Jake Weber and Greg Zola play supporting roles.
Story revolves around two suburban couples who are stuck in the malaise of their suburban domestic monotony. When one of the husbands has an affair with the wife of the other man, his dangerous game unravels the couple’s world and introduces the possibility of AIDS.
Gregory, son of Andre Gregory (“My Dinner With Andre”), has worked in theater and film for more than a decade, playing a leading role in the feature “Last Summer in the Hamptons” and starring in soaps “All My Children” and “Another World.” For the stage, he directed “Forsaking All Others” at the John Houseman Theater and “Shades of Grey” at the Miranda Theater.
Named one of Variety‘s Top 10 International Producers to Watch at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival, Persinger’s credits include “Cherry Falls,” “Still Breathing,” “Twin Falls Idaho” and “Kill the Man.”
