M. Dal Walton III has been promoted to VP of development and business affairs at Emmett/Furla Films.
Under partners Randall Emmett and George Furla, Walton will oversee the day-to-day process of acquiring and developing properties in addition to the business affairs related to all Emmett/Furla and Family Room Entertainment productions.
Walton most recently served as co-producer on Emmett/Furla’s “Good Advice,” starring Charlie Sheen, Angie Harmon, Denise Richards and Jon Lovitz, as well as on “Escape to Grizzly Mountain,” “After Sex” and “Held for Ransom.”
Walton also helped shepherd 11-year-old wunderkind Chaille Stovall’s feature directorial debut, “Camp Grizzly,” and produced the pay-per-view special “Andrew ‘Dice’ Clay… I’m Over Here Now,” which premiered last spring.
Prior to joining Emmett/Furla, Walton worked on the production of such projects as the CBS TV series “Matt Waters,” starring Montel Williams, and MGM/UA’s “Larger Than Life,” starring Bill Murray. He also coordinated the worldwide television production crews of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Ga.
