Cinesite Hollywood’s Digital Restoration division has upped Jerry Pooler to creative director, while Brad Reinke has been tapped manager.
Pooler has been a visual f/x and restoration supervisor at Cinesite since 1992, when he oversaw restoration of Disney’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” Since then, he was helped restore “Sleeping Beauty” and “Fantasia 2000.” He was also served as a visual f/x supervisor on “The 6th Day,” “Deep Blue Sea” and “Titanic.”
“Jerry Pooler and Brad Reinke are a great team,” said Ruth Scovill, prexy and chief operating officer of Kodak-backed Cinesite Hollywood. “They are leading an ambitious effort to leverage the most advanced digital technology to help our customers faithfully restore priceless films in their libraries to their original condition.”
Cinesite is restoring “All the King’s Men,” “The Man Who Knew Too Much,” “To Hell and Back” and “To Kill a Mockingbird.”
“We are working with asset protection managers at the studios and other content owners to restore films without altering the artistic intentions of the original filmmakers,” Scovill said.
