Veep changes companies

NEW YORK — Robbie Brenner, Los Angeles-based Miramax veep of development, is moving from one brother to the next: She has transferred from Harvey Weinstein’s Miramax side of the studio to Bob Weinstein’s Dimension Films banner.

Brenner had been veep of development for Miramax. At Dimension, her title will be senior veep of production and development, and she will report to Dimension co-heads of production Andrew Rona and Brad Weston.

“Robbie has great taste and will help Dimension expand its relationships,” Rona said. “We’re excited that she is joining our team.”

At Miramax, Brenner was co-executive producer on the company’s recent release, “Serendipity,” and exec producer on “On the Line.” She will also earn co-exec producer credits on the forthcoming “View From the Top,” starring Gwyneth Paltrow. She will remain involved with various Miramax projects, including “Fig Eater,” penned by Dean Georgaris, to be produced by Richard Gladstein. She will also continue working with helmer Eric Gross (“On the Line”) and “Serendipity” scribe Marc Klein.

Brenner joined Miramax as an assistant in 1996. Prior to that she worked for producer Michael Obel, who co-produced “Night Watch” with Dimension.
