Dan Hedaya (“Mulholland Drive”) and Kate Burton (“The Ice Storm”) have joined the cast of the teen thriller “swimfan85,” a production of Greene-Street Films and Cobalt Media Partners in association with Michael Douglas’ shingle, Further Films.
It’s the story of a love triangle at a suburban high school involving a championship swimmer with Olympic aspirations, played by Jesse Bradford (“Bring It On”), his longtime girlfriend (“Roswell’s” Shiri Appleby) and an enigmatic seductress (Erika Christensen of “Traffic”).
Hedaya will play a swim coach and Burton will play the swimmer’s single mother.
Australian actor-turned-helmer John Polson (“Siam Sunset”) will direct “swimfan85,” his first U.S. pic. John Penotti and Allison Lyon Segan are producing, and Fisher Stevens and Joseph Caracciolo are exec producing.
Lensing begins this week in Gotham and New Jersey.
