‘Impossible’ wins at Sprockets fest

“The Impossible Elephant,” a Canuck film helmed by Martin Wood, was the audience favorite at the fourth annual Sprockets Toronto Intl. Film Festival for Children, which wrapped Sunday.

Other award winners were “Little Bear: The Little Bear Movie,” another Canadian production, directed by Raymond Jafelice, and Jennifer Ussi’s “The Unique Oneness of Christian Savage,” best short. The kids juries chose Cao Hamburger’s “Ra-Tim-Bum Castle,” based on the Brazilian children’s TV program, and Andre van Duren’s “Mariken,” a Dutch and Belgian co-production.
