Canuck kids fest bows slate

Organizers unveiled the line-up for the fourth annual Sprockets Toronto International Film Festival for Children, set to run April 20-29.

This year’s slate of 18 features and 33 shorts from 20 countries in 16 languages includes an early film from Academy Award winner Steven Soderbergh titled “King of the Hill.” Based on the memoir of A.E. Hotchner, pic features a youth left alone in a rundown hotel in St. Louis during the depression.

The opening film is the preem of Canuck helmer Martin Wood’s “The Impossible Elephant,” the tale of a boy who, after wishing on a star discovers an elephant in his back yard.
