We all know cats and dogs exist in a state of uneasy truce, but in this adventure it’s all-out war as a power-mad Persian, Mr. Tinkles (voiced by Sean Hayes), makes a play for feline world domination of man’s best friend. Crack canine agents must depend on the skills of rookie Beagle pup Lou (Tobey Maguire), the last line of defense before things get ugly in a world where hackles are raised and claws are most decidedly out. Pic combines live-action, CGI animation and animatronic action, with voices including Jeff Goldblum, Elizabeth Perkins, Alec Baldwin and Michael Clarke Duncan; “Antz” co-helmer Larry Guterman directs.
