In conjunction with the L.A. Screenings, Warner Bros. Intl. TV has relaunched its client-services Web site, www.wbitv.com, with an extensive array of online product, marketing, research and publicity options for its foreign TV clients.
The site offers clients online rundowns of the company’s latest offerings; they were available to foreign buyers day-and-date with the recent upfront presentations by the U.S. networks in New York, for example. WBITV was the first Hollywood major to customize a Web site for its foreign clients.
The redesigned site also features the Hollywood major’s catalog of more than 40,000 hours — one of the world’s largest TV libraries — in a fully searchable database.
With its foreign TV clients, the company has also developed local-territory consumer/fan Web sites, including a “Friends” site for Channel 4 in the U.K., a “Third Watch” site for Tele 5 in Spain and a “West Wing” site for Channel 4 and for the Nine Network in Australia.
“Our site has always been, and will always be, a work in progress,” said WBITV senior VP of marketing Lisa Gregorian. “We will be continually rolling in additional features and functionality to keep it state of the art.”
