McEachen leaving Excite@Home

Cyberbiz Brief

Excite@Home chief financial officer Mark McEachen has resigned to pursue other opportunities. Move doesn’t bode well for the company’s future, as it is running short on cash and could be close to seeking bankruptcy protection if it doesn’t secure more funding or sell some assets. Excite@Home said it is actively seeking a replacement for the post. McEachen, who joined the broadband Internet company in 2000, replaced former chief financial officer Ken Goldman, who left Excite@Home last year.
