Lions Gate, H’wood Media create syndie partnership

Cyberbiz brief

Lions Gate’s CinemaNow.com has inked a pay-per-view deal with Hollywood Media Corp., which calls for CinemaNow to make select pics of its 250-pic library available on a co-branded section on news and movie ticketing Web site Hollywood.com. “This is one of CinemaNow’s largest syndication partnerships to date,” said Curt Marvis, CEO of CinemaNow. “Now that we’ve internally grown our video-on-demand distribution platform for feature films, our next step is to enhance our consumer visibility by partnering with distributors who can add value via branding and traffic volume.” As part of the pact, Hollywood.com will roll out two or more films every two weeks for $2.99 each.
