Kobalt Interactive has tapped Guy Pepper CEO, while George Krieger joins the San Francisco-based interactive TV company as prexy. Kobalt is a provider of interactive television software, application tools and technology services to broadcast and cable networks, television stations, advertisers, cable and satellite operators. The new execs will report to Viresh Prashar, chairman and co-founder of Kobalt Interactive.
Pepper is best known for developing the creative design, national branding and business plans for the launch of CNN, MSNBC and “Dateline NBC.” Krieger most recently was exec veep of Fox Sports. He was also prexy-CEO of CBS/Fox Video and senior veep of 20th Century Fox Film Corp., as well as chief operating officer of One-on-One Sports.
Kobalt clients include Discovery Communications. It is also a member of the Microsoft TV and Liberate Technologies software developer programs.
