HOLLYWOOD — Fox Interactive has tapped vidgame vet Michael R. Heilemann director of technology. He will oversee software development as well as the company’s relationships with hardware partners Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony.
Prior to his post at Fox, Heilemann was a senior software engineer at Electronic Arts Canada. Before that, he was a lead programmer at DreamWorks Interactive.
Heilemann’s “proven track record and extensive technical background allows us to continue to extend our entertainment properties into new and exciting interactive experiences,” said Michael Pole, Fox Interactive’s senior veep of product development.
An operating unit of Fox Filmed Entertainment, Fox Interactive produces and publishes computer and videogame software based on Fox franchises, including “The Simpsons,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “The X-Files,” as well as original properties.
