E! Networks has inked deals with XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio to provide the rival services with programming beginning in September. Audio content will be made up of the cabler’s original series and its catalog of shows, including “Revealed,” “E! True Hollywood Story,” “Mysteries and Scandals” and “E! News Daily.”
“E! Networks is constantly exploring new mediums and expanding its outreach to audiences around the world,” said Lynn Heide, senior veep, business development and online for E! Networks. “Our goal is to bring audiences closer to the world of entertainment, and satellite radio provides one more platform for a 24-hour channel.”
XM launches in September, while Sirius will bow later this year. Both services will offer 100 digital channels, with many featuring commercial-free broadcasts. The subscription-based services start at $10 a month.
