CANNES — Independent Digital Entertainment, the New York-based digital video collective whose “Chelsea Walls” is screening in Directors Fortnight, has appointed Danish outfit Trust Film Sales as its worldwide sales rep.
Trust will handle InDigEnt’s first slate of five features: Ethan Hawke’s “Chelsea Walls,” Campbell Scott’s “Final,” Rodrigo Garcia’s “10 Tiny Love Stories,” Richard Linklater’s “Tape” and Bruce Wagner’s “Women in Film.”
Trust is best known for handling the Dogma 95 pics, which were part of the inspiration for the formation of InDigEnt. The InDigEnt concept involves established actors, directors and screenwriters working with low budgets and limited technical means, and collectively sharing revenues from the first-dollar gross.
“Women in Film” and “Tape” premiered in Sundance, and “Final” and “10 Tiny Love Stories” are expected to debut in Venice.
