Pearson TV placed on Fremantle

Name change reflects merger to create RTL Group

LONDON — Pearson Television has been renamed FremantleMedia.

Move follows last year’s merger of Pearson TV with CLT/Ufa to create RTL Group and reflects the fact that Pearson TV is no longer part of British media group Pearson.

All divisions of the company will be rebranded immediately, including Pearson TV North America and Pearson TV Intl.

Fremantle was the name of an international gameshow producer acquired by Pearson TV during the 1990s.
