Comcast taps Nissenblatt to fill programming post

Michael Nissenblatt has been tapped as Comcast Cable’s new senior director of programming.

Nissenblatt will develop and direct company’s digital and high-definition broadcast strategies, as well as oversee Comcast’s cable programming agreements, including those with interactive program guide providers.

Prior to joining Comcast, Nissenblatt was VP of broadcasting for the ABC Broadcast Group where he served as liaison between ABC-owned TV stations and Disney/ABC for matters concerning retransmission consent.
