Warner Bros. Intl. Television Distribution has realigned its European operations, promoting two sales execs and expanding the territories of two others.
Philipp Rohwedder has been promoted to VP and managing director, German-speaking territories, and Caroline Lang has been promoted to exec director, French-speaking territories.
Tim Horan, who serves as sales director, Central and Eastern Europe, will add Russia to his purview, while Ian Giles, WBITD’s sales director for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa, will add Israel and South Africa to his scope of responsibility.
The announcements were made Tuesday by Warner Bros. Intl. Television president Jeffrey Schlesinger.
Each of the sales execs will be responsible for the licensing of WBITD’s television and feature film product to broadcast, pay, video-on-demand, satellite and cable television clients throughout their respective territories.
Rohwedder, who reports to Josh Berger, senior VP, international sales and business development and managing director for Europe, will remain based in Hamburg, Germany. Lang, who reports to Michel LeCourt, VP of French territories, will continue to be based in Paris.
Horan and Giles, who report to Chris Law, managing director of U.K. territories, will remain based in London.
“This is a very distinguished group of sales execs, and these promotions and assignment of additional territories not only better utilize the strengths and regional expertise of Philipp, Caroline, Tim and Ian, but also maximize the efficiency of our operations,” said Schlesinger.
