HOLLYWOOD — Comedian Harland Williams has joined the cast of ABC’s upcoming “The Geena Davis Show.” He plays Davis’ wacky co-worker Alan, a Hollywood insider and name-dropper. Also starring in the Touchstone Television comedy are Mimi Rogers, Peter Horton and Kim Coles.

Next midseason Williams also voices the character Mike in the UPN claymation comedy “Gary and Mike.” The actor also stars in the E! Entertainment Television made-for-TV pic “Becoming Dick.”

Stand-up background

Williams’ TV credits include a starring role in the 1995 WB comedy “Simon,” a number of stand-up comedy programs, and he recently provided a voice on NBC’s short-lived animated series “Sammy.” In film, he’s set to star opposite Tom Green in the upcoming “Freddie Got Fingered.”

“The Geena Davis Show” was created by Terri Minsky and is exec produced by Davis, Nina Wass, Gene Stein and Dave Flebotte.
