MIAMI — Telemundo Communications has closed the restructuring deal merging the U.S. Hispanic net with ownership interests in Telemundo stations.
The combo is backed by Sony Pictures Entertainment, Liberty Media, BV Capital, Bastian Capital and Council Tree Communications.
Council Tree contributed Colorado station KMAS as part of the restructuring.
As previously announced, Telemundo Network topper James McNamara is now prexy and CEO of Telemundo Communications.
Network chief operating officer Alan Sokol and chief financial officer/treasurer Vincent Sadusky have the same responsibilities and titles at the merged entity.
