L.A.-based TV producer-distribber Team Entertainment has tapped James Waldron as president. In his new role Waldron will oversee the global development and production of Team’s programming, from drama series, minis and made-fors to co-productions and gameshows.
Waldron’s duties will also include the supervision of Team’s international productions generated by British-based Team Dandelion and Team Entertainment, Germany.
Waldron will assume his new post June 19, bringing more than a decade of experience to the company. He joins from Creative Artists Agency where he was responsible for overseeing and packaging series for all cable networks as well as international progamming and firstrun syndication. Waldron was also credited with bringing World Championship Wrestling to CAA.
Prior to his position at the tenpercentery, Waldron served in top exec roles at Pearson TV North America, ITC and Viacom Productions.
“As Team continues to expand its production output on a global basis, Jamie’s relationships within the creative community in the U.S. and Europe will provide great added value to our business objectives,” Team chairman and CEO Drew Levin said.
