Kerry Packer’s Nine Network has bagged another primetime hour on national broadcaster Doordarshan’s (DD) Metro channel, taking the 9-10 p.m. slot under a one-year contract for $14 million — 50% higher than the base price DD had fixed.
Nine already has two hours of DD primetime from 7-9 p.m., for which it will begin broadcasting programs beginning Sept. 11. Company will be producing local entertainment programming for the 9-10 p.m. slot on Doordarshan.
