Helmer Don Roos’ single-cam laffer “M.Y.O.B.,” originally planned as a midseason contender for NBC, will instead get a summer run.
Skein is now set to bow Tuesday, June 6, in the 9:30 p.m. slot following “Will & Grace,” the Peacock announced Tuesday. Production on all segs of “M.Y.O.B.” ordered by NBC has already been completed.
“We believe ‘M.Y.O.B.’ is the type of show that can break through to viewers during the summertime,” NBC Entertainment prexy Garth Ancier said.
“M.Y.O.B.,” from NBC Studios, stars Katharine Towne as a smart (and smart-ass) teen runaway who ends up living with her play-it-safe aunt (Lauren Graham). Roos (“The Opposite of Sex,” “Single White Female”) and Ann Donahue (“Murder One”) are exec producers.
