M-Net sees 20% revenue rise

Revenues reach $144 mil for year

JOHANNESBURG — South African pay station M-Net said last week it had overcome “indifferent” economic conditions to increase revenues for the financial year ended in March by 20% and comparable earnings by 28%.

Revenues amounted to just over one billion rand ($144 million) for the year, while earnings, before a levy by the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA), amounted to 3.8¢ a share, compared to 3¢ a share the previous year.
