Perhaps ex-Navy Seal Rudy should be called in to kick some butt: Soon after the final tiki torch was extinguished at last week’s “Survivor” wrap party, CBS publicity execs discovered that a box of photos signed by the show’s contestants had mysteriously disappeared.
CBS senior VP of communications Chris Ender said the photos had been earmarked for various charity fund-raisers. Instead, the Eye believes workers involved with the “Survivor” town hall special might have walked off with the valuable photos.
“It’s really sad; you put together these photos to help a charity raise money, and some selfish individuals break into a briefcase and haul them off,” Ender said.
The perpetrator(s) may have stolen the photos with eBay in mind. The online auction site is brimming with “Survivor”-related merchandise — including a copy of last week’s Newsweek magazine, signed by the castaways, which had been bid up to $455 as of Wednesday.
