‘Dog Days’ ahead for C-W, NBC

Peacock order six episodes of talking canine laffer

Carsey-Werner has fetched a midseason commitment from NBC for its talking canine laffer “Dog Days.”

Peacock has ordered six episodes of the skein, which is being crafted by producers David Sacks, Marcy Carsey, Tom Werner and Caryn Mandabach. Live-action comedy uses computer animation techniques similar to those employed in last year’s “Stuart Little” to realistically depict the interaction between a young woman and her dog, who regularly chats her up.

Cast members for the series include Andy Richter (“Late Night with Conan O’Brien”), Anna Farris and Tracy Vilar.
