ABC Entertainment has tapped Richard Claflin VP, comedy series.
Claflin will join the previously assembled comedy team of veeps Glenn Adilman, Suzanne Bukinik, Stephanie Leifer and manager Vicki Dummer. “Richard has outstanding instincts for developing comedy and has great relationships in the community,” said senior veepee, comedy series programming Carolyn Ginsburg-Carlson. Claflin joins the Alphabet network from NBC where he served as veep, comedy programming. During his three year tenure at the Peacock, Claflin oversaw programming of laffers “NewsRadio” and “Just Shoot Me.” In addition, he developed “Daddio,” “Freaks and Geeks,” and the midseasoner “Go Fish.”
