Robert M. Hazard

Robert M. Hazard, longtime head film buyer for the Sterling Recreation Organization, which owned the largest theater chain in the Northwest before Cineplex Odeon bought it, died May 2 of cancer in Bothell, Washington. He was 78.

Hazard served more than 30 years with that organization.

He is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Dorothy, two sons, a daughter, a brother and sister and five grandchildren.

Family suggests contributions to 1st Tee of Olympia, 3814 Prestwick Lane SE, Olympia, WA 98501. Proceeds will benefit inner-city youths by teaching them how to golf.
