Irish thesp Hugh O’Conor (“The Young Poisoner’s Handbook”) will join Johnny Depp and Juliette Binoche in Miramax’s “Chocolat” for helmer Lasse Hallstrom (“The Cider House Rules”). O’Conor, who recently co-starred with Toni Collette in the U.K. release “Hotel Sordide,” is repped in the U.S. by Gersh and Handprint Entertainment, and in the U.K. by Curtis Brown and Associates.

Adam Beach (“Smoke Signals”) is set to star opposite Nicolas Cage in John Woo’s WWII action drama “Windtalkers” for MGM. Production is slated to begin in Hawaii in August. Pic will be produced by Woo and partner Terence Chang, along with Alison Rosenzweig and Tracie Graham.

Beach, whose credits also include “Mystery, Alaska,” is repped by Paradigm.Brad Rowe (“Body Shots”) is set to star opposite Harvey Keitel in the romantic drama “Nailed” for producers Sarah Pillsbury and Midge Sanford. Scripter Joel Silverman will helm the pic. Rowe, who stars in the upcoming NBC miniseries “The 70’s” for producer Denise Di Novi, is repped by CAA.

Alyssa Milano (the WB’s “Charmed”) will join Sean Patrick Flannery and Roy Scheider in the miniseries “Diamond Hunters” for the De Angelis Group/Global Entertainment, due to start lensing next month in South Africa. She’s repped by Endeavor, Lin Milano of Breakthru Entertainment, Hyler Management and attorney Bill Skrzyniarz.

Also set for “Diamond Hunters” is Michael Easton (“Total Recall 2070”), who’s repped by William Morris and InnerAct Entertainment’s Danielle Allman and Daniel Doty.Will Friedle, a series regular on ABC’s “Boy Meets World,” has landed a series regular role on the NBC pilot “Go Fish.” He’s repped by Diverse Talent Group.Cheryl Hines, who portrayed “Seinfeld” co-creator Larry David’s wife on last fall’s HBO special “Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm,” will reprise that role for the new HBO series “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” exec produced by David, Gavin Polone and Jeff Garlin. Cherokee actor/rap artist G. Paul Davis (a.k.a. Litefoot) will co-star with Lukas Haas and Richard Harris in the feature “The Pearl,” an adaptation of the John Steinbeck novel by writer/director Alfred Zacharias. Davis, best known for his lead in “The Indian in the Cupboard,” is repped by Don Buchwald & Associates.
