Betty A. Geffen, a longtime personal manager, died Jan. 28 of natural causes in New York. She was 88.
Geffen hailed from Montreal, where she began as a legal secretary and soon became one of the first (and youngest) females to become a nightclub manager in Montreal.
She later pursued her show business career in America and helped the careers of numerous actors including more recent clients such as David Caruso and James Spader.
She belonged to numerous orgs and was a member of Pioneer Women and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
She is survived by a daughter, Jo-ann Geffen, president of JAG Entertainment PR, and a grandson, Jeremy, who is a music manager for Creative Management Group.
Family requests donations in Geffen’s name be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
