Artists Management Group has inked deals with Jill Smoller and Paul Annacone to join its sports management division, AMG Sports.
Smoller is a former women’s tennis tour pro and was formerly head of ICM’s sports division. Annacone coached pro tennis star Pete Sampras.
AMG Sports was founded in the fall by Jeff Schwartz to manage sports professionals and to create sports programming for TV and new media.
“Paul and Jill will complement each other well,” said Schwartz, adding that Smoller’s “knowledge of both the sports and entertainment worlds are tremendous assets to grow the department as a whole.”
Previously, Smoller had been responsible for securing motion picture and TV work as well as commercial endorsements for ICM clients such as figure skater Katerina Witt, football player Keyshawn Johnson, tennis pros Venus and Serena Williams and hoopsters Dennis Rodman and Rick Fox.
