Julian Scott has been upped from VP to group VP of creative development at Children’s Television Workshop.
Newly created position will give Scott increased oversight and management responsibility on all of the cabler’s creative development initiatives, which include projects related to “Sesame Street” and other domestic and international productions. He’ll also continue to work on developing children’s TV and film properties with broader generational appeal.
“Julian’s dynamic personality coupled with his solid experience and keen eye for television production will help lead the workshop in developing innovative new programs in demographics that we have not traditionally sought out,” said Terry Fitzpatrick, CTW acting group prexy of television, film and video.
Scott joined CTW in 1998 as VP of international production and exec producer of the international television group, and was upped last year to VP of creative development. Before CTW, Scott was a producer on BBC series “Men Behaving Badly,” and head of production and operations at Walt Disney Television Intl.
