Arrow Ent. has tapped Kate Grodd as director of acquisitions, and Rania Richardson has been named theatrical sales manager of the indie film and TV distributor founded by attorney Dennis Friedland in 1992.
Grodd previously worked in talent representation at Whatley Management and Production. Richardson is a former theatrical sales manager at WinStar Communications.
Both are now based in the Gotham office. Friedland said both “are performing critical roles in the expansion of our roster of product,” including theatrical, video and U.S. and international TV fare.
Arrow, which has had success with such pix as “Under The Skin” and “Ponette,” recently acquired five new films, including Aaron Harnick’s “30 Days,” Jule Gilfillan’s “Restless,” David Lee Wilson’s “Autumn Heart,” Justin McCarthy’s “Jump” and D. Ze’ev Gilad’s “God Run.”
