Movieline magazine will hold its second annual Young Hollywood Awards on June 1, with comic Kathy Griffin (“Suddenly Susan”) presiding over the evening that honors young luminaries in the film and music industries.
The ceremony will also include the presentation of a special Role Model award to thesp James Woods.
Event organizers have chosen an informal lounge-style venue, L.A. nightspot the Knitting Factory, where attendees can mix freely during the ceremony.
Award categories are offbeat too, but many of the nominees are some of Hollywood’s busiest young stars: Superstar of Tomorrow noms include Christina Ricci, Kirsten Dunst, Tobey Maguire and Mark Wahlberg; Best Bad Boy and Bad Girl noms include Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon; and New Stylemaker noms are Penelope Cruz and Hilary Swank.
The festivities will be webcast live on http://www.Movieline.com.
