L.A. Times pulls promos

One ad dropped from controversial campaign

HOLLYWOOD — The Los Angeles Times has decided to drop promotional ads that featured bikini-clad women next to chador-covered Islamic women after protests from Muslims, feminists and newsroom staffers. The newspaper, which launched the ads as part of its “Connecting Us to the Times” campaign, will no longer run the spots and plans to remove them from buses.
