8 new committee members join for new season

The administration committee of the American Theatre Wing’s Tony Awards have announced the nominating committee for the 2000-01 Broadway season.

New to the committee are publisher Price Berkley, administrator Robert Callely, general manager Robert Kamlot, historian Louise Kerz, producer Theodore Mann, photographer Aubrey Reuben, producer Arthur Rubin and casting director Meg Simon.

Committee members serve a three-year term. Members continuing to serve for one or two more seasons include Lisa Aronson, Kate Burton, Mary Schmidt Campbell, John Cunningham, Merle Debuskey, Jerry Dominus, Henry Guettel, Carol Hall, Geraldine Hammerstein, Jay Harnick, Sheldon Harnick, Stuart Little, Thomas Meehan, Joanna Merlin, Peter Neufeld, Estelle Parsons, Shirley Rich, Frances Sternhagen, Arnold Weinstein and George White.

The Tonys are presented by the League of American Theaters & Producers and the American Theatre Wing, which founded the awards in 1947.
