‘You’ perfect for McCarthy, Eigerman

Landau prod'n gets green light for Gotham in Sept.

Jenny McCarthy and Chris Eigeman (“Barcelona”) will star in “The Perfect You,” written and directed by Matthew Miller (UPN’s “Grownups”).

Susan B. Landau’s management-production shingle Thompson Street Entertainment will produce the romantic comedy, with Andrew Karsch, Sidney J. Kimmel and Longfellow Pictures co-producing. Production begins Sept. 18 in Gotham.

Overlapping “Perfect” for Landau will be the Disney/ABC-Granada Entertainment co-production of “Princess of Thieves,” which is slated to begin production Sept. 25 in Eastern Europe.

Peter Hewitt (“Whatever Happened to Harold Smith?”) will direct the period action-adventure piece in which Robin Hood’s daughter must save the realm. The teleplay is written by Robin Lerner and Sally Robinson.

‘All Over’ the post

Landau is in post-production on “All Over the Guy,” a romantic comedy with an ensemble cast that includes Lisa Kudrow, Christina Ricci and Adam Goldberg. Helmed by Julie Davis (“I Love You, Don’t Touch Me!”), “All” is produced by Susie Dietz and Donnie Land and exec produced by Landau and Don Roos (“The Opposite of Sex”).

In development for Landau is “13 Generations,” a 13-part miniseries for HBO; “The Spy,” an adaptation of the James Fenimore Cooper action novel that Landau is developing for Showtime and Granada and for Fox Searchlight; and “Model Citizens,” a comedy penned by Elizabeth Heldon about computer geeks-turned-fashion models.

Landau was exec producer of “An Ideal Husband” and “Get Bruce!,” both of which were released by Miramax Films. She also exec produced “Mary and Rhoda” for ABC-TV.

Landau’s management clients include “The Full Monty” writer Simon Beaufoy, actress and TV helmer Joanna Kerns, actress Diana Rigg, helmer Steven Surjik (TNT’s “Weapons of Mass Distraction”), writer-director Marcus Deleon (HBO’s “Walkout”) and writer Wendy Kesselman (“The Spy”).
